Gosling comments: “The UK has some of the most important furniture collections in the world, but due to conservation it is not always possible to put them on public display. Thanks to the support of the V&A and The Frederick Parker Collection, I am delighted to be curating an exhibition of chairs, which includes many of these rare and extraordinary pieces.”

“In the 18th century, interior designers commissioned furniture makers to design and make bespoke pieces much as they do at Decorex today.  If we look closely at the designers exhibiting at Decorex, I am sure we will see they are inspired from both the historical and contemporary chairs on display. Many of these chairs will become the prized pieces of future furniture collections.”
